Set header and message text for transcript emails

The system will occasionally need to send session transcripts via email to chat customers. For this purpose, you need to specify the text that will accompany the transcript.

Note:

SMTP settings are controlled under Email Settings in the Server tab of the Admin Console. Refer to Set the server email account for details.

To set header and message text for transcript emails:

  1. Click the Live Assistant tab.

  2. In the Workgroups Summary screen, click the name of the workgroup.

  3. In the sidebar pane under Workgroup Settings, click Transcript Settings. The Transcript Settings screen displays.

  4. In the From field, enter name of the email sender (can be your group name, for example).

  5. In the From Email field, enter the sender email address.

  6. In the Subject field, enter a standard subject (such as "support chat transcript").

  7. In the Message field, enter a message to accompany the transcript.

  8. Click the Save Changes button.
