Configure Chatbot settings

Chatbot needs to be configured for each workgroup that uses it. These instructions are for configuring the messages that the Chatbot will send to users using standard XMPP clients.

To configure Chatbot settings:

  1. Click the Live Assistant tab.

  2. In the Workgroup Summary screen, click the name of the workgroup for which you want to enable or disable Chatbot.

  3. In the sidebar pane under Workgroup Settings, click Configure Chatbot. The Chatbot Configuration screen displays.

  4. Scroll down to the Idle Session Settings section and, in the field provided, type the number of minutes a session must be idle before it is removed, and then click the Save Settings button.

  5. Scroll down to the Chatbot Text Settings section.

In this section, the Chatbot events are listed along with their associated messages.

  1. To change the message for any event, in the Current Message column, select and delete the existing text and type in your own.

  2. At the very bottom of the screen, click the Update Text Settings button.

  3. To restore a message to its default, in the Default Message column, click the Restore Defaults button for that message.
